On July 28th we opened the doors of our gallery to a new found, hidden gem of an artist, Jasem Qaisi. Jasem is a painter from Iraq that I had the opportunity to meet a few weeks ago in our gallery during our second anniversary event on June 2nd.  Learning that he is from Iraq, ignited my curiosity as I had never met anyone from the country that we were in war with for nearly 8 years in the late 80's. Meet Michael Griffin!

I met Michael Griffin through a mutual friend at our last year's Christmas Party at our gallery. I was fascinated by his view of art, how he used traditional techniques and his love for MichaelAngelo, who is a genius in Darrin and I's eyes.  A few months later in the new year, I approached Michael to see if he'd be interested in displaying his art at Katami Designs Gallery.
