Refurbish and Refresh!

During the month of January we decided to try something a little bit different at Katami Designs. We wanted to give people the opportunity to re-design their heirloom jewelry in order to keep it relevant to their own personal style, as well as today's fashion trends. Those interested could meet with Negar Khatami for a free custom jewellery consultation to help them transform their sentimental, old-fashioned jewellery into contemporary and unique pieces. Hermès at Work: My Experience

On Sunday, September 25th, I was able to catch the last day of the travelling "Hermès at Work" exhibition at the Jack Pool Plaza in Coal Harbour Vancouver. She is one of the top event planners in Vancouver and we got the opportunity to chat with her during her busy day. I am hoping that she...

Boho Glam

Posted by Noelene Searle-Valleau on

When one thinks of bohemian style, images of costume-like attire from the 60s and 70s usually come to mind. And while the adage ‘what goes around comes around’ is a frequent theme in the fashion world, we love how trends from the past are not merely replicated, but revived with modern cuts and fabrics to become something new again.     Boho is chic this spring, with a hippie spirit infused into contemporary designs. Soft billowy chiffon, embellished details, loose and flowy silhouettes are ultra-luxurious and totally wearable. Signature elements merged with hippie-esque style, with designers such as Rachel...
