During the month of January we decided to try something a little bit different at Katami Designs. We wanted to give people the opportunity to re-design their heirloom jewelry in order to keep it relevant to their own personal style, as well as today's fashion trends. Those interested could meet with Negar Khatami for a free custom jewellery consultation to help them transform their sentimental, old-fashioned jewellery into contemporary and unique pieces. New Acrostic Collection

Negar Khatami has just launched her new Acrostic collection, in which she has put a modern and sophisticated twist on an age-old literary device. These unique and exquisite pieces are cast in 14K gold and set with hand-selected precious stones. The first of each stone represents that same letter in the alphabet, thus enabling the wearer to sport a hidden word or phrase in an acrostic fashion. We just turned 2!

It was a long but fantastic year full of creativity, late nights, take out foods, and a lot of giggles and excitements.  We've had 3 new resident artists moving in, 2 new artists added to our gallery space and had a sponsored event 'Art of Craft' at our gallery plus a few opening nights. In the midst of that, I managed to create 3 new collections and started teaching semi-private classes at our studio.
